Farrell’s Hawaii enters third year of Reading Program for Oahu schools

Participating kids get a free Clown Sundae - Participating teachers get credit

To Hawaii’s educators:

As an educator, you hold the key to our future and generations to come. We at Farrell’s Hawaii are contacting you because we respect you and your profession and we are committed to education in Hawaii. We’re well aware that when children learn to read it opens doors that lead to endless knowledge for them.

As we head into our third year, we cordially invite you to participate in this year’s Farrell’s Reading Program. Incidentally, participation increased by 30% on Oahu schools this past year.

How it works:

  • Teachers give their students the Farrell’s Reading Program coupon.
  • In turn, the students read five books, printing the title of each book on the coupon, including the school name, teacher name, and grade.
  • The student can then redeem the coupon at any Farrell’s location in Hawaii and receive a free Clown Sundae.
  • For each coupon redeemed, the participating teachers will receive twenty-five cents ($0.25) credit toward shopping at Education Works, which is located near the Dole Cannery Theatre at 735 Iwilei Rd.
